At JetLag App, we believe that your sleep patterns and travel data belong to you. We have built our application from the ground up with a Privacy by Design approach.

This Privacy Policy explains what limited information we collect, how we use it solely to provide the Services to you, and how we protect it.

1. The Core Principle: Absolute Anonymity

Most applications require you to create an account, share your email, and create a password. We do not.

• No User Accounts: We use automatic anonymous authorization tied to your specific device.
• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
• No Passwords: There are no passwords to lose or be stolen from our servers.

2. Information We Collect

To provide you with personalized jet lag recovery plans, we collect only the data necessary for the core functionality of the App:

• Flight Itineraries: Departure times, arrival times, and time zones of your trip.
• Sleep Preferences: Your normal sleep window (if you choose to provide it) to personalize the plan.
• Device Identifiers: An anonymous, randomly generated ID (via Firebase Authentication) used to sync your plan with your specific device, and a push notification token to send you timely reminders.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for exactly one purpose: To provide and improve the Services.

• To generate your minute-by-minute circadian adaptation plan.
• To send you push notifications about when to seek light, sleep, or take melatonin.
• We do not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, enterprise partners, or any third party. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Third-Party Data Processors

We use trusted third-party infrastructure to operate the App securely. These providers process data strictly on our behalf:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure, anonymous hosting and database operations.
• OpenAI: Your flight data and sleep preferences are sent to OpenAI's API securely to generate the adaptation plan. No personally identifiable information is sent to OpenAI, because we do not collect any. OpenAI does not use data submitted via its API to train its models.

5. Data Retention & Security

Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest on our secure servers.

• We retain your flight plans only for as long as they are active or recently completed to provide you with historical insights on your device.
• Because you do not have an account, if you delete the App from your device, you will lose access to your anonymous data.

6. Your Rights

Because we only hold anonymous data, we cannot identify you to fulfill standard data access requests (as we do not know who you are). However, you have full control over your data directly within the App:

• You can delete your active plans at any time within the App interface.
• You can disable push notifications through your device's operating system settings.
